“My Nabyoo” – Parental content blocking and monitoring
Ciaran Moore - April 9, 2008The internet is a very useful tool where you can find information, images and videos on just about any topic imaginable. All of which is easily obtainable, but unfortunately this can include things you wouldn’t want your kids to stumble upon!
“My Nabyoo” is worth checking out in that case. It basically functions as an adult website blocker and more. As well as being able to add sites to a block list, it’ll also monitor and log accessed and blocked URLs so you can know what’s been going on. It can run in stealth mode, undetectable to the average user, and optionally take screenshots at a set interval and view them in slideshow form. It also blocks web pages if they contain custom keywords. As well as this,it lets you block a lot of popular P2P (file sharing) programs, as well as any other programs you choose to block from being accessed. With all these features, its a pretty good step to help ensure you’re kids don’t get exposed to inappropriate content online.
They claim to “leave competition in the dust” . But decide for yourself by trying the trial, downloadable from their website here.
