You have the volume control and the options for the recording placed on the screen. When you’re ready to do the recording you need to start the recording after that you can play or copy the recording to a destination. It shows the information on the top of the recording status bar. Make the selection for the audio recording to be microphone, phone line, CD player, Stereo mix, etc. For making the recoding task more personalized and according to your requirements. You can set the recording options and enable the file to be saved as Mp3 or Wav file. Enable or disable the noise reduction and even set the bitrate, sample rate selected. If you do not want any changes then you can have the default settings activated and also have the file operation dialog box opened after the recording. The software lacks as the help file for the program is available online only. Users not having the internet access cannot have any further information instantly.

Even though it has one drawback but that also is not going to hurt much as the benefits overwhelm it.

Sound Control 2.15

Monday, October 15th, 2007

For people that are interested in getting the most out of their sound card, the typical sound programs that come with Windows might not be good enough. This old guard is represented most obviously by the Windows Sound Mixer, which is a program that does not have a lot of functionality. People have been looking high and wide for a better option and it is quite possible if you are one of these people that Sound Control 2.15 might be just the option that you’re looking for.

The first thing that has a lot of people interested in the program is that it is a free replacement for the Windows Sound Mixer program. This means that it includes all of the important features of that program, but does not have the resource-intensive drain that most Windows applets seem to have. In addition to this however, the Sound Control 2.15 program allows you to set hotkeys for your sound control and therefore you can use those keys to manually adjust sound mixer volumes from your keyboard without having to bring up the dialogue box to do so. It is a specialized program that is loads of fun to use and exceptionally time-saving for people that are keyboard-orientated.

The RightMark Audio Analyzer

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Sometimes you just can’t get the right sound out of your computer’s speakers no matter what you do. The RightMark Audio Analyzer was designed to help you troubleshoot these problems so you can get the absolute best signal from your speakers. By testing the sound card and other audio related devices in your computer, RightMark gives you a visual representation of what is happening with the audio signal as it passes through the inner workings of your computer.

RightMark has created custom audio clips which are played through your speaker and then rerecorded from the other side. You are then given a graph which allows you to see sound levels and other information such as individual speaker performance.

The latest edition of RightMark’s Audio Analyzer has been greatly improved with better stability, and even more user options for flexibility with the tests you perform. Currently this software is only available for Windows operating systems, but if the program continues to grow in popularity there will surely be more releases made.

Oront Burning Premium

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

If you are looking to add a CD or DVD burner to your computer, or you just want a simpler way to burn your own copies, Oront is one of the latest programs released to do that and so much more. Not only can you perform all of the basic functions of a regular CD/DVD burner application, but you can also use this program to retain files from discs that have become corrupt or even burn to several different discs all at the same time.

Oront has released their new premium version software kit just this month, and it has already become very popular. Since it is relatively new there are a few small bugs that have yet to be found, but the designers have already begun debugging the program bit by bit.

The Oront Burning Kit is designed to support all Windows operating systems, but there have not yet been any releases for other operating systems. However, this is only a minor setback. You can download your trial version of the shareware or purchase the program for only $40 at Oront.com

VioLet Composer – write your own music easily

Friday, September 21st, 2007

1147175663-1.jpgHave you ever wanted to try writing your own music, but you don’t know how to play an instrument? Computer based composers are becoming a huge deal in the music industry, and the VioLet Composer is one of the highest rated programs you can get for a very reasonable price.

VioLet composer allows you to write any style of music using any type of instruments, all from the comfort of your home. The only real requirements are a computer with Windows 2000 or later and speakers.

The latest version of this program has reached new levels by making it easier for you to copy and paste sections of your music, scroll through your music on the screen, and color code the individual parts of your music so you can edit them separately. Plus, the program also has the capability of remembering your last directory so you can reuse it.

In general, this program is a great place to start for people who are not entirely sure what they are looking for, and they don’t want to spend a ton of money on software that they may never put to good use. The features really make it as simple program to learn unlike some of the higher end programs, so you can learn on your own through exploration.

Floola for Windows

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

floola.jpgOne of the interesting aspects of the technological boom of recent times is that storage is getting to such a size that without organization it eventually becomes impossible to find anything. For example, if you have an iPod then you know exactly what I’m talking about! Some iPod devices have the ability to hold hundreds if not thousands of songs and indeed when it comes right down to it if you are able to download a thousand songs to one place, you are going to have problems if you don’t have them organized!

And that, my friends, is where Floola comes in. Floola is actually a multi-operating system program, but the specific version that is mentioned here in this blog posting is a Windows-based program. It is completely free and it is a piece of software that you can use to manage not only your iPod, but you can also use it for any Motorola cellular phone. It works on any mobile device that supports the iTunes software and ultimately it allows you to stay organized which in turn allows you to get to the songs that you want a lot quicker.

Floola for Windows is definitely one of the more interesting pieces of freeware out there today, because it fills such an important purpose with a minimum of hassle.

IceAmpTitle 2.8.0.0

Monday, September 10th, 2007

948916945-1.jpgOne of the reasons that software has become so popular in today’s world is because different pieces of software can do very specialized things. The perfect example of this is the IceAmpTitle 2.8.0.0. This is a piece of software designed to do one thing and one thing only, but it is able to do that one thing in a fantastic way.

The basic idea behind the IceAmpTitle 2.8.0.0 is to get the name of the song that your music player is currently playing and display it in a window on your desktop. The positioning of the window can be changed as can a number of other aesthetic things such as the font size and colour. There are a lot of customizable things to the software package and the final result, but the main point is that you can get the software to retrieve the name of the current song and unobtrusively display it in your desktop so that you don’t have to waste your time pulling up the music player in order to find the song name and artist name.

It currently works for the WinAmp, Sonique, K-Jofol, FreeAmp and Coolplayer audio players and it is expected that more will be following.
