GnuCash Portable is an application specifically designed to help individuals properly manage their finances. The application is free and open sourced which means the application can be distributed in any condition and can be developed by other developers aside from the original author.

But even though GnuCash is a free application, it offers a wide variety of functions that can easily defeat commercial financial applications. The interface is very easy to understand since it emulates a regular registry format found in checkbooks.
