ESET Smart Security 4.2.22.0 Beta uses a smart cleaning algorithm that automatizes the procedure of removing malware and other infections. The publishers of ESET Smart Security have designed it to deliver updates through very small incremental update files to ensure little traffic most specifically for users who use dial up connection and whose internet facility works too slow.

Version 4.2.22.0 Beta has some newly introduced features and updates. Some of these additions are: new firewall zones to that can be switched between each other automatically based on defined criteria; support for blocking hard drives connected via USB; support for Thunderbird 3 and a feature that allows users to postpone installation of a newer firewall module until next Computer restart.
