NextPVR (formerly GB-PVR) 2.0.3
O. James Samson - May 3, 2011NextPVR formally known as GB-PVR is a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) that allows a user to schedule TV recordings, view, and pause live TV. In addition to this PVR functionality, NextPVR also acts as a media center allowing a user to watch movies, listen to music, view pictures and listen to FM radio. The program also supports specialist hardware decoders; including Sigma Designs XCard, Hauppauge PVR350 and Hauppauge MediaMVP. NextPVR also supports multiple tuners, allowing a user to record multiple channels all at once.
Included in this new updates are a few fixes and updates, which include the following:an uninstaller; fixed an issue with VMR9/VMR7 aspect ratio; fixed a couple of PC client issues (rough channel changes in live tv, sometimes hanging when stopping); fixed a QAM scanning issue; fixed a bug that could cause high network utilization when streaming to client PC; fixed issue with ‘HDPVR IR Blaster’ option; and added ‘VMR9 Custom’ renderer option.
Basically, NextPVR is designed to do the same thing your DVR box does for you. All you need to do in order to enjoy this software is to follow every instruction as spelt out by the publishers. NextPVR is easy to understand; especially when you take time out to follow the instructions concerning installation and usage.
