Fluid 1.0
O. James Samson - May 10, 2011Fluid is an application that lets you create a Real Mac App (or “Fluid App”) out of any website or web application; and effectively turning your favorite web applications into OS X desktop apps. Creating a Fluid Application out of your favorite website is as easy as anything. Simply enter the website’s URL, provide a name, and optionally choose an icon. Click “Create”, and within seconds your chosen website has a permanent home on your Mac as a real Mac application that appears in your Dock. It is really as easy as you can imagine when it comes to using this software to get the job done. However, one may have to cope with the pain of having to run web applications in separate tabs in browsers.
The application is free, but users can purchase a fluid license at an absolutely cheap price. The license unlocks a lot of features that include the following; create Fluid Apps with Separate Cookie Storage, use Userscripts or Userstyles in your Fluid Apps, and Pin Fluid Apps to the Mac OS X Status Bar. User license that grants you access to some of these features is put at $4.99. The program is light, and consumes very limited space on your system.
