The program supports the CDDB/freedb online CD database and CDText and automatically writes song information to ID3V2 or Vorbis comment tags. New updates and features include the following; addition of support for multiple configuration, addition of {disc} replacement pattern for output file names; addition of preview to CDDB match selection dialog, and – added support for Ogg FLAC files. As a matter of fact, the publishers have taken care of interface and slow down issues experienced by users in past version; making it more effective than it was in the past.
Fre:ac is one program that has come a long way, and also been able to hold its own among other equally good program. The program has developed over the years, and users can now begin to enjoy some of the features that gave them a few problems in the past. Fre:ac Development Snapshot is an open source program.
