O. James Samson - October 4, 2012Do you need a software that would help you optimize your laptop battery life? BatteryCare is it!
What’s up with BatteryCare?
Batterycare is a freeware that is designed to maximize the life and performance of your laptop battery. It helps to monitor your battery’s discharge cycle using its advanced algorithm to record a complete discharge cycle. It provides you with information about your battery such as the amount of time remaining in seconds/minutes or in percentage.
It also gives you with the essential information you need to quickly monitor. Temperatures, charge status, remaining time and power plans. It is also very light on your system resources: given the concern about the battery optimization, BatteryCare does not interfere with the system performance. It requires only a mere 0,1% of Processor and Memory resources
The manufacturers, Filipe Lourenco, have added the following new features to this version: improved temperature monitoring module: More CPUs and HDD are now supported, added credits text box in the about panel. They also added now close existing instances at startup, in order to restore the hiding icon Minor visual tweaks, new context menu item: Link to Facebook page.
So what are the downsides?
Can’t think of one right now.
It used to be buggy but over time the publisher has worked on making this tool, a free but cool tool worth having.
This is one cool software when it comes to battery life and performance optimization.
