Event Log Explorer 4.1 Beta – Analyze Your Windows Event Logs Easily
O. James Samson - October 5, 2012Searching for software that helps to keep your network safe by tracing events such as all log on attempts, resource usage, creating, opening and deleting files? Then you have a solution- Event Log Explorer!
What is the big deal about Event Log Explorer?
The process of monitoring the events log on Windows can be quite cumbersome and time consuming. This freeware allows you to quickly browse, find and report on problems, security warnings and all other events that are generated within Windows. You can create filters to filter events on the basis of priority. For effective event analysis, Event Log Explorer features advanced reporting tools — Analytical Reports allowing you to build different summary tables and summary diagrams.
Unlike some other event monitoring programs, Event Log Explorer can print out event logs which can be exported to other formats. Also unlike other programs, Event Log Explorer can help you view several events logs simultaneously either in different windows or in one consolidated window. For the home users, it can help you detect hardware and system, trace log on attempts, monitor system services and other resources.
The publishers, FS ProLabs, have added the following changes to this version: you can now open evtx files even from Windows XP and event descriptions from Windows 2008+ servers that were sometimes inaccessible have been fixed.
Any down sides?
Hmmn…..
None!
It really is a cool tool worth having. And it is free!!!
