HDClone Free Edition 4.3.2
O. James Samson - May 12, 2013Want to clone the entire contents of your hard disk? Get HDClone Free Edition.
What is the big deal about this program?
HDClone is the ideal tool for moving or cloning contents of entire hard disks. It can add the additional disk space automatically if desired. You can still use HDClone even if the installed OS is damaged because it has its own operating system and is self-booting. Therefore HDClone is also a great solution for data rescue on damaged hard disks or system installations.
It creates physical copies (clones) and file images of hard disks and other storage media. It is an ideal tool for backups and copies of the OS installation or the entire application.
Got a defective hard disk and you want to recover your stored data? HDClone’s Safe Rescue mode makes it a perfect tool for rescuing defective hard disks and other media. HDClone works independent of partitioning scheme, file system, and operating system. It also works with proprietary formats which otherwise would be inaccessible.
You can select one or more partitions of a disk to be transferred, without having to copy all the partitions. This saves space on the target drive, making it possible to use a smaller target or using the additional space for the remaining partitions.
Miray Software, the author of this program, has added a few changes to this version. They are: Advanced Format drive cloning & backup, Creating dynamic VMDK/VHD images, Storing a cloning report, MVD: virtual drives from VMDK & VHD, CLI: automation using Ports and Media-IDs among several others.
Downsides?
The free version is near useless. The paid versions are quite good though.
