Unchecky 0.1.9 Beta
O. James Samson - December 30, 2013Do you want to put a stop to potentially unwanted programs from gaining access or entry into your system? Do you feel like the security and privacy of your files or system is seriously being threatened? Then you seriously need a program that can prevent unauthorized access to your computer; and that is where a program like Unchecky comes in.
What is Unchecky?
Unchecky aims to keep potentially unwanted programs out of your computer. Have you ever felt, while installing software, that the installer tries to push additional unwanted programs at all cost? Have you ever missed a checkbox, and spent a lot of hours afterwards removing adware? Have you ever opened your browser after an installation, only to find out that you have a new homepage, a new search engine, or even a new browser? Unchecky will your checkboxes clear.
A lot of changes have recently been made to this version of the program to include the following: now handles installers that were launched before Unchecky’s service; hosts file rules now use 0.0.0.0 instead of 127.0.0.1; and various filter updates.
Unchecky now works even better than it used to with a lot of bug fixes and updates made to this version.
