OpenVPN 2.3.2-I004
O. James Samson - April 17, 2014Not every VPN program out there is fully-featured; but not when that program is OpenVPN. If what you are searching for in a VPN program are easy and advanced features; then I think you should consider taking a look at OpenVPN.
What’s OpenVPN?
OpenVPN is a full-featured SSL VPN solution which can accommodate a wide range of configurations, including remote access, site-to-site VPNs, WiFi security, and enterprise-scale remote access solutions with load balancing, failover, and fine-grained access-controls.
OpenVPN implements OSI layer 2 or 3 secure network extension utilizing the SSL/TLS protocol, fortifies flexible client authentication methods predicated on certificates, perspicacious cards, and/or 2-factor authentication, and sanctions utilizer or group-concrete access control policies. It is able to achieve all these with the use of firewall rules applied to the VPN virtual interface. OpenVPN is not a web application proxy and does not operate through a web browser.
The program’s main strengths include cross-platform portability across most of the kenned computing universe, excellent stability, scalability to hundreds or thousands of clients, relatively facile installation, and support for dynamic IP addresses and NAT.
