SharedSafe 0.6.2336
O. James Samson - November 19, 2010SharedSafe is not a bad idea for all those who want to turn their electronic mail accounts into simple online file storage. With SharedSafe, it is now possible to share or synchronize a lot of local folders across a lot of computers. This means that people who install this program on their systems can be sure of benefiting a lot because it uses an encrypted file system to store their files in email accounts.
Version 0.6.2336 is a commercial demo, and users who want to try it out can do so for 90 days with a demo license. However, they may have to install the Microsoft .NET framework on their computer in order to use this program. This version also comes with an uninstaller, and has a few changes, which include; proxy support, and new overlay icon.
Some of its features include: a user can create a safe from an email account which supports the IMAP protocol; a user can export the key of safe, share the safe key with anyone he/she wants to have access to the safe; ability to automatically synchronize a local folder and its linked safe; with the safe key, you can access the safe’s files in any local file selected; and many more.
Personally, I like the idea of being able to save some of my files online; this gives a bit of respite, especially from fear of losing a file.
