Are you looking for a 3D application that is easily customizable, easy to use, and with a lot of amazing features? Then Stellarium might just be waht you have been looking for. It is loaded with lots of amazing benefits that will enrich your 3D experience.

What’s Stellarium?

Stellarium renders 3D photo-realistic skies in real time with OpenGL. It displays stars, constellations, planets, nebulas and others things like ground, landscape, atmosphere, and many more. Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. Stellarium is being used in planetarium projectors; and all you need to do is set your coordinates and go.

Stellarium also contains some very powerful features including the following; extra catalogues with more than 210 million stars, asterisms and illustrations of the constellations, constellations for 15 different cultures, images of nebulae (full Messier catalogue), very realistic atmosphere, sunrise and sunset, a powerful zoom, equatorial and azimuthal grids, plugin system adding artifical satellites, ocular simulation, telescope configuration and more, add your own deep sky objects, landscapes, constellation images, scripts, ability to add new solar system objects from online resources, and many more.
