FFmpeg 2.8
O. James Samson - September 25, 2015Looking for a complete multimedia framework that features loads of amazing and exciting features? FFmpeg is not just one of those software you find only that take up space on your system; it has some of the most amazing features that can filter and play virtually everything that both man and machine have created.
FFmpeg is a multimedia framework, able to decode, encode, transcode, mux, demux, stream, filter and play pretty much anything that humans and machines have created. It supports the most obscure ancient formats up to the cutting edge. No matter if they were designed by some standards committee, the community or a corporation.
FFmpeg contains libavcodec, libavutil, libavformat, libavfilter, libavdevice, libswscale and libswresample which can be used by applications as well as ffmpeg, ffserver, ffplay and ffprobe which can be used by end users for transcoding, streaming and playing.
FFmpeg also works as a complete cross-platform solution to record, convert, and stream audio and video.
It really doesn’t have any downside to be bothered about; which is pretty encouraging. The fact that it is an open source software makes it even better.
