Kaspersky Internet Security is the latest offering from Kaspersky Labs that is designed to be effective at protecting your computer from all the usual threats that are around these days, ranging from hacker attempts, malicious programs, as well as spam and other online risks.

The main features of this security suite are
‘Complete PC Protection’ – Automated as well as on-demand scanning;
‘Kaspersky Urgent Detection System’ – a spam detection system developed by Kaspersky;
‘Kaspersky Security Analyzer’, ‘Kaspersky iSwift’- which allows for faster scanning, and iChecker Scanning- iChecker calculates and remembers checksums of scanned files, only scanning them if they have been modified; Automated Hourly Updating, Kaspersky Virtual Keyboard, Kaspersky Security Network, Kaspersky Whitelisting and Application Control, Kaspersky Anti-Spam and Two-Way Firewall as well as Parental Controls.

For this latest version, a new feature is Kaspersky Safe Run, which lets you run new or suspicious files sandboxed, that is to say, you can run them, but they won’t affect anything outside of their temporary sandbox, which is obviously much safer than running them in the normal manner if they are in any way suspicious. ‘Auto-Run Disable’ stops usb drives or other portable drives from automatically running when they get plugged into your computer, instead it prompts you to scan the drive for any potential threats.
Also included is Kaspersky URL Advisor, a Plug-in for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox to warn of any links that may potentially be a threat or danger.

This is a pretty good security suite if you are searching for an all-in-one program to secure your pc and online activity.
