O. James Samson - November 16, 2007Here is a really cool tool that could come in handy. It is called FlexKit.
FlexKit is an integrated file management toolkit, the cool thing about this software is that it allows you to classify and categorize files, analyze disk utilization patterns and identify storage consumption hot-spots But that is not all with FlexKit you also get to eliminate duplicate files and free-up storage space.
If you don’t want to make a financial commitment yet, you could try out the freeware version, FlexKit Express. FlexKit Express is completely free and may be used for any personal and commercial purposed.
If you want a more powerful and flexible version, FlexKit Professional will be your ideal choice. It is especially designed for professionals and power users. In addition to more powerful capabilities, FlexKit Professional provides command line utilities for all available file management tools.

It’s a cool toolkit! I’ve never met such degree of quality between PC tools for home usage. I think I’ll convince my IT manager to purchase the Pro version to use it in our office.
Well done!

I’ve figured out there is a new version released recently. The new name is FlexTk. It looks solid. I started to use it instead of Windows Explorer and FAR for the day-to-day file management tasks.
Recommend to try it.

FlexDup is my favorite. It freed a lot of disk space on my hard drives. Excellent toolkit!
