EmEditor is a text editor for Windows that includes supports for JavaScript or VBScript macros, Unicode, plug-ins, syntax highlighting (including embedded scripts in HTML, ASP, and PHP files), drag-and-drop, and menu and keyboard customizations. This edition of the program supports not only JavaScript and VBScript for the text editing macros, but also supports PerlScript, PHPScript, Python, Ruby, and other languages as long as script engines you want to use are installed.
Not many are designed or built for both 32- and 64-bit modes like EmEditor. One of the editors you should seriously consider installing when you have a 64-bit operating system is EmEditor. You can edit files larger than 4GB even on 32-bit Windows, but 64-bits makes the editor run even faster and keep more in memory before using temporary space. Editing a large file can be a big problem if you don’t have an effective program; and that is one key area the publishers of this program have been able to get it right.
EmEditor is light, and also very fast; and is compatible with the Windows Operating systems. Some of the latest changes made to this version include the following; Markers, HTML/XML character references, Batch Replace, Find toolbar, and a host of others.
