How many times have you heard the old expression that a picture is worth a thousand words? Too many, right? Whilst a photograph or drawing can assist in pointing something out or demonstrating an issue, sometimes the picture alone is not adequate. After all, books and news papers put captions with photos for good reason: the picture by itself doesn’t always tell the full story.
If you are using pictures to share a picture with someone your talking to online, for example, you could snap a screen shot of a webpage or desktop program with it, and then add your personal annotations to it. A picture’s good, but when you put an arrow and a note to really highlight what you’re talking about, everyone will acknowledge what the excitement is all about. Or take hold of an image from your computer and work away on it. All of the annotating you add—circles, arrows, text, etc—are all contained in a layer set-apart from the image itself, so you’ll be able to drag them around without messing-up the original image. And it’s drag-and-drop easy to save your new-and-improved picture to your computer or upload it wherever you want.
So if you do a lot of working with images and text its worth checking out, ?lick here for the homepage where you can check out the video demo which really shows how user friendly Skitch is!

Looking to burn some of your favorite Compact and Digital Video Disks without spending a cent in the process? Then Explore&Burn 1.5.2 is one good program you should consider with great interest. As a freeware program, Explore&Burn provides more features than some shareware applications.
This program is easy to use and burns your CD and DVD without giving you any difficulty in the process. Integrated with Windows Explorer, Explorer&Burn is quick at helping you to burn your files and ISO images on your computer straight to your CD or DVD.
In terms of size, this program does not really eat too much space when installed on your computer. When compared to other similar applications in the same category, Explore&Burn 1.5.2 is very light.
Among the latest changes and updates that are easily noticeable in this version are: localization in Chinese and additional ability to specify the directory to store temporary files used to build a disk image among others.

One of the most indispensable programs I have seen on the internet. UltraMon 3.0.10 is a fine utility useful for those who love to monitor their systems. Designed to monitor your system, UltraMon increases the productivity level and unlock the full capacity of multi monitors.
With additional Windows Buttons, users have the added advantage of quickly moving Windows or stretch a window across the desktop. Users can also use the taskbar to manage more applications, with a taskbar on each monitor and each taskbar only displaying the tasks from the monitor it is on.
At $39.95, UltraMon 3.0 10 is a delightful program that offers significantly more features than the cost of purchasing it. Users can also control application positioning with ultraMon shortcuts, mirror your main monitor to secondary monitors for a presentation; manage more windows with the taskbar. All these and more are what you get when you download this program for the above amount.

Avast continues to improve by the years, and remains one of the most reliable antivirus programs on the internet. Though a lot of people would rather go for the pro version because of added features, avast free antivirus is still good enough. Avast antivirus is able to detect the presence of most viruses in your computer and yet able to remove them.
Based on a powerful antivirus kernal that enables you to set a boot-time scan, avast also has a resident protection, heuristic analysis for emails, as well as a script blocker. Avast is fantastic when it comes to providing you with on-demand and resident virus scanner.
This version in review has some of the best security features seen in a free antivirus or security program. Features like: intelligent scanner; silent/gaming mode; behavior shield; network shield; green computing; antivirus and antispyware engine; web shield and so many others. Even though avast is a good program, I still recommend the pro version for those who need added security online.

With this program you can browse through your media and play anything without much technical knowledge. doubleTwist supports most major audio and video formats. doubleTwist also works with mobile phones, PSP, cameras, MP3 player, and the rest.
It offers users the flexibility of going anywhere with their music, videos as well as other media with so much ease. Another wonderful feature of this program is that users can publish a video to YouTube, upload photos to Flickr or if they like, privately share an experience with friends online.
This application is free for download for anybody who wants it and can be downloaded over the internet at the publisher’s site. I really do not have any problem with it being a freeware as long as it performs what the publishers promised. There are other applications that can be used for similar functions, but I think it is worth trying out.

Good program for those who have some technical knowledge of how things like this work. HWiNFO32.3.41 is a diagnostic tool used for finding out hardware information on your system. HWiNFO32.3.41 supports latest industry technologies and standards, including support for modern components.
The program is designed to extract even the most difficult amount of information about your computer and its hardware which makes it a useful tool for those searching for driver updates, system integrators, technical experts and computer manufacturers. One good thing I have come to identify HWiNFO32.3.41 with is how it helps to save cost that would have been spent on repairing problem computers. It just simply helps to monitor the health of your computer.
This tool can turn you into a computer guru if you can manage to find your way around its features. Though I would not suggest you try it out if you do not have some basic technical knowledge about computer and how it works. HWiNFO32.3.41 is a freeware program and can be downloaded and used freely by anyone.

What is exactly wrong in trying out a program that is free to download and use without any limitations? 3DMark 2006 1.2.0 Build 1901 is a freeware program that is worth giving a try. I tried it out to see how great it is since it is not going to cost me anything in the first place. I must confess that I am pleased with its features and the ease of use.
This program is suitable for the latest generation of DirectX 9.0 graphic cards. To the best of my knowledge, 3DMark 2006 1.2.0 Build 1901 is the first benchmark to ever require a DirectX 9.0 compliant hardware with support for pixel shaders 2.0 or higher.
3DMark 2006 combines high quality 3D tests, feature tests, CPU tests, and image quality tools, as well as several others. If you want to evaluate the very latest in generation of gaming hardware, this program is a good benchmark for you to use. We all know how issues that bother on benchmarking has continued to be a challenge.
For full functionality, users can go to the publishers’ site to download the full version with unlimited features.

WinRAR (64-bit) 3.92 has consistently competed favourably with other archiving and compression programs online for a long time. As a matter of fact, RAR ranks high on the list of more users than any other program in the same category. With a significantly improved compression ratios, easier use including a cheaper price per download and just to add that it supports long file names, disk spanning and self-extracting file creation.
WinRAR (64-bit) 3.92 has support for such languages like: Arabic; Catalan; Chinese Simplified; German; Polish; Portuguese Brazilian; Bulgarian among others. WinRAR is also useful for file backup, and users can use it to backup their data and reduce the size of their email attachments, decompress RAR, ZIP and other files downloaded from the internet.
For those who may be interested in trying it out before they buy it, WinRAR is also available for a limited trial period. WinRAR is not a new program and I fancy it for all the great features it has.

At $24.90 I don’t have a problem with Tunebite 7.1.2053.3350 because of it has features I like a lot. Talking about usage, Tunebite gives you that edge when it comes to making unprotected copies of any copy-protected music files. It simply records them while they are being played on your system. This program also helps you to convert your protected WMA files to MP3 formats without recording any hitch.
Tunebite allows you to play your copy-protected WMA and other files in the Windows Media Player as usual. With in-built high speed digital dubbing feature, Tunebite records all your files at ultra-high speed even as you listen to your music. The recorded music file is then saved on your hard drive as unprotected MP3, OGG and WMA files automatically.
Tunebite also has a free demo for those who would like to know how it works. Users can also download the freeware version alongside the demo, to get to understand how the pro version works. It is not a bad program for those who have some basic understanding of music files and how to record them.
