There are some web editors purely or beginners. Then there are some for hardcore professionals. Best of both worlds – Roden Web Editor! An editor for both the beginners and the pros!
The beginners will get started immediately through ready-to-use document templates and wizards, and can also place tags and codes and effects anywhere on the page with little fuss. They’d find the easy to use interface of the program a big asset. For the professionals, the program holds enough juice in its capability to edit in many languages – HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
Intellisense – a code-sensing technology which helps you as you write code, code checking facility, myriad of built-in functions, FTP support, preview and capture, Search Engine Optimization, internal viewer for many documents and references support for various web languages and keywords, all these features make the latest release a very potent one, considering that it is available for free. Purists would still, however, look elsewhere.

Tired of your regular boring basic Microsoft Calculator utility? Though it suffices to most users, some require that extra calculating power in the digital versions of their traditional calculators.
#Calculation Component is a versatile powerful calculation tool which integrates expression parsing and evaluation into your applications through an ActiveX component. The real power of #Calculation Component is seen in areas where the user is required to define a formula of his own which would then be used in calculation, and in areas where more than one formula are required to be defined and executed in real time.
#Calculation Component’s appetite for numbers is huge – it supports your regular mathematics, and then various functions, string, date, time, logical operators, and even matrix and array operations. And if that was not enough, various numerical systems, comments, and custom functions are also supported. The latest version has added some new features while ironing out some bugging bugs.
With such power to boot, you must be expecting a multi-MB download, right? There lies the catch – the download is just 522.5KB. Who says good things don’t come in small packages?

Yahoo Inc. is shutting down Yahoo Photos, its first-generation photo storage site, and asking users to move instead to Yahoo’s Web 2.0 photo sharing site, Flickr, a Yahoo official said on Thursday.
In June, tens of millions of registered users of Yahoo Photos will be notified of various options including upgrading to Yahoo’s Flickr service or various outside-photo storage sites, according to Flickr co-founder Stewart Butterfield.
Yahoo also will offer consumers the option of loading their photos on competing sites when users are notified next month.
These include PhotoBucket — the most popular online photo sharing service among users of social network sites like News Corp.’s MySpace — or more conventional photo printing and storage site such as Kodak Gallery, Shutterfly Inc. or Snapfish, he said. (more…)

This is a flash card program for helping you to learn stuff. Although the most obvious use for jMemorize is learning foreign words and expressions, you can use it for a variety of other tasks which require memorization.
Card decks are the key part of jMemorize. At the beginning, all the cards are placed in what’s called the Start Deck.
During a learning session, you answer the question on each card. If you answered correctly, the card is moved to the next higher deck. A wrong answer keeps the card in the Start Deck. Based on your success rate during multiple learning sessions, it places the cards in different decks according to your success rate in answering the question. The cards in every deck have an expiration time, at which time jMemorize reactivates the already learned cards so that you can refresh your knowledge.
It’s written in Java, so it will run on most systems and browsers. You can download it here and its open source, so it’s free!
