PhotoRec is free software for recovering deleted files from your computer. Yes, even if you’ve emptied your recycle bin! This works because the files still exist on your computer,it’s just that all links to them are gone. It can recover lost files including video, documents and archives. It works with hard disks and removable media such as digital camera memory cards. It can even recover data from scratched cds in some cases! It recognizes more than 80 file types, the whole list is available here.
I know from experience that there’s nothing more annoying than losing photos from a digital camera memory card or from your hard drive, because they’re pretty much irreplacable! So if something like that happens to you its well worth checking this out! It’s freeware, so you have nothin’ to lose (and hopefully your files to gain), by going here for more info and the download!

Have you ever had crazy and wild thoughts like trading places with Benjamin Franklin on the 100-dollar bill? Making your dog the president? Your baby an astronaut? Etc. Well this might just be your opportunity to make your wild dreams come true. Funphotor is just what you need.
ZeallSoft FunPhotor is fun and easy to use photo blending software, a fun-filled Windows application that lets you blend your family portraits with well-known artwork to create comical images. With a few short steps, you can add your face to the carved granite US Presidents on Mount Rushmore, put your portrait on a $100 bill, or create all sorts of gag gifts for your friends.
Call me unserious but the fact that it is great for practical jokes is why I really love this software. You can make crazily funny greeting cards with it and have a whole lot of fun having laughs on people. It’s really a fun-software.
Some of its key features include:
- Supports Video Cameras to take your picture
- Only 4 steps to create fun photo
- Support Multi-Languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish
- Create & share your own surprise templates
- Over 200 cool templates to make editing easier
Etc.

In design stock photography is something you usually pay through the nose for. A good source of free stock photography is a boon for designers, graphic artists and web creators alike. Which is why it’s so very nice to see so many good quality free stock photo resources on the web.
My favourite of all time has to be Stock Exchange, the first and best. The quality of the photos is great and you can contribute too. It’s like Flickr but with higher resolution to the graphics you create using these resources can be printable in magazines.
There are other resources too, all you have to do is search for “free stock photo -royalty”. The last bit is to stop searching for “royalty free” which is not free but something you pay for.
See Stock Exchange, but also these fine resources:

Are you tired of looking at some of your old pictures over and over again? Do you wish you could enhance the images, do something about the background, make it more romantic or whatever? That means you are ready to give your old pictures a new look? Then you’ve got to check this out!
Light Artist is a program that allows you to add realistic lighting effects to your photos. With it you can easily make your ordinary and undistinguished photos sunnier, romantic or even gloomy if you want. You can modify the light color, add multiple light sources, change the surface qualities of the image and add various ambient illumination effects.
Using one of the image channels as the texture channel you can add 3D relief to your images.
Though it is not a freeware, you can try out the evaluation version first to see if it will do what you have in mind. It doesn’t matter whether you are a pro or a greenhorn in image enhancements, it’s really easy to use.
Give it a try! For more info and download, CLICK HERE!

You need a handy tool to make some simple moves with your photos, but you don’t want to install any software (even if it’s totally free)? Well, as I always say there’s a choice! Try for example Pixer.
It’s an online ajax-powered photo editors, with really simple controls. But once again there’s a catch. The worst thing (maybe that’s just for me, eh?) is that you can’t preview changes you make on your own picture (you upload it, but as soon as you make any change you’ll see the standard picture of that service with two pretty ladies on it). Don’t worry as soon as you done with editing just save the result on your hard drive and you see that this service really works. (more…)
