abcmain_16.gifJust about everyone has at least one email address in these days of internet access available in virtually any part of the world. But there’s nothing too exciting about email these days. It seems it’s all been done, with todays accounts holding gigabytes worth of email in some cases.

What was once a high tech novelty is now as commonplace as having a phone number. Well it seems someone has thought of one more thing!
How about the longest email address in the world? Even though it won’t be believed by some people and wont be accepted by some internet forms! It’ll still be one that catches attention for sure!

BeInSync – let your data follow you anywhere and everywhere

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

screenshot.jpgChecking my email on Yahoo! not too long ago I came across an advert of this wonderful software that helps you keep your files and emails in sync between your PCs. If you have multiple systems in different places like work, home and your laptop you will find this software useful. It’s called BeInSync and like the name suggests it helps you to always be in sync with all necessary info from anywhere.

BeInSync seamlessly and securely keeps your files and emails in sync between your PCs, making them available where and when you need them. It ‘s a great alternative to remote access products. Unlike GoToMyPC, you don’t have to long into that computer to send a file to yourself. BeInSync runs quietly in the background.

Beinsync makes it possible for you to

  • Have your data in sync at home work and on the move
  • Travel light and get to your data using remote Web Access
  • Share any size files with colleagues, partners and friends.

Spam Blocker – cool tool for solving your spam problems

Monday, December 4th, 2006

sbtop.jpgIf you’ve had it with spam and you are looking for the final solution, you might want to check out Spam Blocker.

Spam Blocker is an application for filtering incoming correspondence. This is a very simple, convenient and fast protection tool for prior analysis, blocking and deleting incoming advertising letters (spam) immediately on mail servers.

What really makes this a cool tool is that it helps to get rid of annoying email advertising by analyzing correspondence before it is loaded from server. Spam Blocker checks all mail and receives the headings of all messages from the user’s mailbox (email addresses, addressee names, message subject, etc.) and analyzes the messages for spam content.

One other thing that I love about this tool is that you, the user, get to define the criteria it which it will sort your message, thus eliminating the risk of losing important mails that you are expecting.

Retrograms – yesterdays emails tomorrow

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

567857567456345.jpgEver get the urge to go back in time, a simpler when everything, including interpersonal communication was more elegant, had a little more style? Why not? They haven’t stopped doing telegrams yet, but it’s only a matter of time. There’s something about a telegram, a certain old world class, which emails still can’t equal with all their sassy speed and efficiency.

Retrograms aims to stop all that. Choose from a range of excellent retro looking telegrams and have them shipped to your friends either as e-cards over the Internet, or as real live telegrams delivered through the mail. Okay, so they don’t travel as fast as real telegrams but boy oh boy do they ever look the part.

For all the retro telegram sending fun you can handle, go to Retro Gram.

Cloudmark: Bye bye spam!

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

howitworks.gifCloudmark is an add-on for Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express to prevent spam and also prevent and report phishing attacks. It can also block email viruses before they can do any potential damage.

To give it it’s full name, Cloudmark Desktop (formerly known as Cloudmark Safetybar) installs directly inside Outlook and Outlook Express, filters through your mail as it downloads, and moves suspected junk into a folder for you to review it later. The filtering mechanism is based on the Cloudmark service, the largest community-based platform used to stop the plague of junk email and email fraud, and it doesn’t require you to create any filters or rules. You can however create a white list, to make sure certain contacts will never be filtered, and also re-classify selected messages.

This is how it works. When a user clicks the ‘Block Spam’ or ‘Block Phish’ buttons, Cloudmark compares this feedback with feedback from other users. If other users in the network also consider the message to be spam or fraud, then similar messages are automatically blocked in the future, for all users in the network.

Likewise, if a user drags a message out of the Spam folder or clicks the ‘Unblock button’, Cloudmark compares this feedback with that of other users. If they agree, the message is unblocked throughout the Cloudmark network.

Well worth checking out if you’ve had it with too much spam. You can check out more info and a free trial by going here.

Do you need a POP Peeper?

Sunday, November 26th, 2006

viewmain.jpgPop Peeper is a small utility that runs in your task tray and allows you to keep a check on all your email accounts. It works for both POP3 mail and webmail and it supports multiple accounts, so you can check email from Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail and many others, there’s a full regularly updated list on the website, so i’ll refrain from listing them all here.It allows you to preview the headers of your email, and view the messages. There is also support for file attachments, which allows you to view the name of the files. Using POP Peeper, you can quickly scan which messages are important enough to read, and which ones can be deleted without even opening your email client. A great little tool that works fast and efficient.

Idea: When you go away on vacation, simply take a Flash drive with a copy of POP Peeper to keep a check on your email easily from any computer you use. POP Peeper is freeware too! Always an added bonus!

Pop on over here to peep at more info and download it (Sorry! Couldn’t resist)!

eprompter – free email notification software

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

35323421121123312.jpgIn my unrelenting quest to get the best of the Internet and make “my PC life” as stress-free and easy as possible, I recently stumbled on this software. eprompter…

eprompter is a freeware that automatically and simultaneously checks and retrieves your email messages from up to sixteen password protected email accounts and then gives you notification whenever you have new messages. eprompter also lets you know how many new messages you have in each account, once new messages have been retrieved.

What I love about this program is that it allows you to have access to your latest messages without opening your email conventionally i.e. without going to the website that hosts your account. It also retrieves your messages without disturbing the original ones in your email account.

Ain’t that cool? Not having sign in into different email accounts just to read your mail every time, eprompter lets you have access to your email accounts easily. If you have different email accounts and you are tired of signing in and out of all of them just to see whether you have a new mail or not, then this program is for you but if you have only one you may not really appreciate the need for this kind of program, it probably seems much easier for you to assess your mails conventionally.

In case you are all for this software but you are not sure whether it supports your email account hosts or not, there is good news. eprompter supports AIM, AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Yahoo Beta, POP3, Earthlink, Excite, Juno, Lycos, Mail.com, Mindspring, MSN, MyWay, Netscape, Rediffmail, SBC Yahoo, USA.net, Windows Live Mail, and hundreds of other email domains.

Try It Out! It’s free!
