Spacetime is a program that presents Web pages and search results as floating slabs that can be flipped through, organized, and navigated in 3-D.
SpaceTime users can “fly” through search results such as Web pages, pictures, and eBay auction items. By turning your view to the left, right, up, or down, you can see all the Web pages you’ve previously called up and zoom in on the one you want.
When you launch SpaceTime, you’ll see a Web page address bar at the top of the screen as well as a bar for entering search terms. As with Firefox and Internet Explorer 7, a user can select different search engines; SpaceTime’s search bar includes Yahoo and Google (and their respective image-search functions), Flickr, and eBay. Web pages and search results are shown in the center of the screen and float against a light-blue background with clouds. At the bottom of the SpaceTime screen, there is also a two-dimensional timeline that shows a thumbnail view of each search you’ve made or page you’ve called up.
The lasting value of programs like this is usually questionable,as the novelty value soon wears off,. But I guess maybe in the future as computers continue to become more powerful, we might be seeing more things like this.
Check it out here to download it or see the demo presentation.

Drivermax is a program that can backup and re-install your system’s drivers on Windows Vista and Windows XP.
Whenever you need to re-install your operating system,it can get awkward to find and reinstall all your systems drivers..but drivermax claims to turn this potentially time consuming and problematic step into a 5-10 minute job that only requires one restart. It can easily backup all of your systems drivers then simply use it to collectively reinstall these if you should ever need to do so.
The user interface is entirely wizard based; any chosen task is conveniently broken down into 2 or 3 simple screens.
It can also generate a report that lists all installed drivers and includes information such as the version numbers and dates.
This program is registerware (yours to keep for free when you register).
Check it out for more info and the download.

Do you have an ever growing collection of files, data, mp3s etc that you have stored on discs and find it hard to keep track of? If your answer is yes, then CD Storage Master may be useful for you. It allows you to keep a searchable database of all your cd/dvd data.
You can track or search by many parameters such as file name, size, time created, modified, etc and also the metadata of files (like MP3 ID3 Tags, image info, Audio CD internet CDDB information, and more). In addition it can read these details from inside compressed archives.
It also has ‘Active Storage Monitor’…a neat feature to notify you if you insert a disc that isn’t already in its database.
So if you have a big collection of data on discs this might be real useful to catalogue and search them.
Check it out here for more info and a full list of features and filetypes it supports.

This is a video convertor that enables you to convert several different video file formats into the FLV (Flash Video) format. This is the popular format used on many video sites such as YouTube that enables instant playback of video files from a webpage. At the moment it supports AVI, MPEG, Quicktime, and WMV files. You can also choose the frame rate, bit rate, and audio-compression options. Conversion seems to work very fast too, always a plus! A useful detail is the several included presets, depending on your network speed type (dial-up or DSL, for example). You can also save settings for later use.
Overall, Riva is a great freeware tool for anyone looking for a reliable (and free!) way to convert video files for the Web.
You can get it right here and more info.

WarRock Is a free online FPS (First Person Shooter) game, it also comes with premium options if you’ve got some money you wanna spend. It’s totally free to play online once you download it, but the download is pretty big at a little over 600MB, so you better have a fast connection.
The story behind WarRock is that civil war in the fictional country of Derbaran has erupted. You get to use a large selection of deadly weapons and vehicles in story-driven gameplay. (In the air, on the land and over the sea.) Although there may be better games out there, you get what you pay for and this isn’t such a bad game considering it can be played for free.
Check out the site here to download it and find out more info.

If you own a computer, chances are you have heard about spyware/adware by now. If you haven’t, chances are you have some on your computer, in which case you should really check out an anti-adware/spyware scanner.
Spy Sweeper is such a scanner, one with a very good reputation too! It also detects keyloggers and root kits and has multiple real-time Smart Shields to block sophisticated spyware threats before they can infect your PC. Spy Sweeper earns points by doing a fairly decent job of removing spyware with a user friendly interface, it’s easy to use, and has regular updates for paid subscribers.
It’s still recommended you run more than one scanner though, as they can’t all catch everything. But this definitely seems to be one of the best ones currently available. Check it out here where you can grab the trial version.

AudioCommander is an audio conversion program that lets you convert various audio formats to CD, WAV, MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC, AC3, AMR, 3GP, AIFF, AU, VOX, RAW, GSM, ADPCM, A-LAW, u-LAW, g726, g721, g723, MPC, MP+, MOV, QT, AVI audio, etc.
One good use is that it makes conversions for cell phone audio files a quick and easy thing to do, or you might want to change the bitrate of some mp3 files to save some space on your mp3 player.
The program offers the usual options for bitrate, frequency, channels, and other such format specific settings, and can convert individual sound files, or even entire folders of sound files at once. Conversions are performed directly from format to format, which increases conversion speed and eliminates potential quality loss.

Window Washer is a useful privacy and cleanup tool. It deletes your browser usage tracks and much more.
A cool feature for the paranoid is the file “Bleaching” for added Security: Window Washer can completely overwrite files with random characters making them unrecoverable by undelete / unerase utilities — a security feature which “exceeds the tough standards of the United States Department of Defense.”
It can be set to run automatically for example each time you shut down or start up your computer. It also has a cookie keeper feature that allows you to save chosen cookies from useful sites you use while erasing all other cookies. Hundreds of Free Plug-ins are available to cleanup the junk files of a lot of popular applications. It also supports most major browsers.
