Should getting burners get you burnt? Nope! In my unrelenting quest to get the best of the Internet and make “my PC life” as stress-free and easy as possible, I recently stumbled on this software. eprompter…
eprompter is a freeware that automatically and simultaneously checks and retrieves your email messages from up to sixteen password protected email accounts and then gives you notification whenever you have new messages. eprompter also lets you know how many new messages you have in each account, once new messages have been retrieved.
What I love about this program is that it allows you to have access to your latest messages without opening your email conventionally i.e. without going to the website that hosts your account. It also retrieves your messages without disturbing the original ones in your email account.
Ain’t that cool? Not having sign in into different email accounts just to read your mail every time, eprompter lets you have access to your email accounts easily. If you have different email accounts and you are tired of signing in and out of all of them just to see whether you have a new mail or not, then this program is for you but if you have only one you may not really appreciate the need for this kind of program, it probably seems much easier for you to assess your mails conventionally.
In case you are all for this software but you are not sure whether it supports your email account hosts or not, there is good news. eprompter supports AIM, AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Yahoo Beta, POP3, Earthlink, Excite, Juno, Lycos, Mail.com, Mindspring, MSN, MyWay, Netscape, Rediffmail, SBC Yahoo, USA.net, Windows Live Mail, and hundreds of other email domains.

Pandora is an internet radio station site, but with a twist! It knows what you might like, before you’ve even heard it! You simply type in the name of a song or artist, and it generates a playlist of similiar sounding songs and artists! It bases its findings on musical similiarity, not popularity, only the music counts!
It’s part of the ‘Music Genome Project’ an attempt to group thousands of songs by musical similarity. Everything from melody, harmony and rhythm, to instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement, lyrics, and of course the rich world of singing and vocal harmony. It’s not about what a band looks like, or what genre they supposedly belong to, or about who buys their records – it’s about what each individual song sounds like. You can even give a “Thumbs Up”, which makes that song and songs that sound like that song play more often or “Thumbs Down” bans that song from that station, and makes songs that sound like that song play less often.
It’s a great way to discover new music based on what you already know you like. I like how they even provide links to more info on each band or artist, so if you find something you like you can easily learn more info!

PhotoRec is free software for recovering deleted files from your computer. Yes, even if you’ve emptied your recycle bin! This works because the files still exist on your computer,it’s just that all links to them are gone. It can recover lost files including video, documents and archives. It works with hard disks and removable media such as digital camera memory cards. It can even recover data from scratched cds in some cases! It recognizes more than 80 file types, the whole list is available here.
I know from experience that there’s nothing more annoying than losing photos from a digital camera memory card or from your hard drive, because they’re pretty much irreplacable! So if something like that happens to you its well worth checking this out! It’s freeware, so you have nothin’ to lose (and hopefully your files to gain), by going here for more info and the download!

Munnin is a desktop client for all eBay platforms, including USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It keeps itself fully synced with the online database of Ebay.
It allows you to watch desired items using drag-and-drop, manage your search favorites and repeat them at the touch of a button, calculate shipping costs using the integrated shipping costs calculator, plus many more features. For example,’Hot Items’ searches for items with more than 25 bids.
Its available in several versions, Light, Advanced, Professional and Business, Light being free, but this version has some restrictions when compared to the paid version of course!
It’s worth checking out for anyone who takes their ebaying really seriously or who makes a living out of buying and selling on it! For the rest of us its not really necessary.

Just recently released is this software in the league of BoldChat and LiveChat, called Chatstat 2.15 Beta.
ChatStat provides direct contact with your site’s visitors, Operator or Visitor Initiated Web Chat, Web Statistics with Moving Graphs, and Instant Messaging support for AIM, YAHOO, MSN, ICQ, JABBER, SKYPE, and SKYPE VOIP. The new VOIP CALLBACK allows you to call back your customers. The Quick Info fly out shows real time site usage, current chats in queue. The dialer flyout allows you to make VOIP calls through Skype. The Call Center lets you manage all incoming and outgoing Chat and Voice conversations.
It’s a nice program but it still needs some working on. Like there are bugs on the program especially on the user interface that need fixing. But I believe the publisher will improve on the software as time goes on. So don’t let that discourage you, it’s really a cool software to have. It’s even better than most of its contemporaries as it offers a wider range of features. Go check it out for free.
Check It Out!

It’s easy to see what side of the bread the code monkeys at Google have buttered, politically speaking. Type “failure” into Google and click “I’m feeling lucky.” Well yeah that just about says it.
I’m really curious as to how this was done. Usually search engine stuff is all drawn from the target page, spiderbots read all the text on the page (and more importantly IN the page) and catalogue this in the database. I’ve viewed the source of that page on the Whitehouse site and there’s nothing like that in the code. Obviously, putting comments like that in the Whitehouse code is a short way to get yourself fired…
So the only explanation is that someone put it directly into the Google database. Man, the power. It’s overwhelming, isn’t it?

If there is one thing I actually treasure in life, it’s my privacy. I hate to have it invaded in any form. I used to be confused about how to keep my private files private on my system until I discovered this software, INVISIBLE PRIVATE FOLDER.
Invisible Private Folder keeps your private files invisible from others, giving you a sense of security and privacy. Now you don’t have to worry about people having access to your files on, you can simply make them invisible. The Invisible Private Folder can help you keep your files protected from kids, friends and co-workers. It allows you to add any folder to the virtual invisible private folder. It enables you to block and hide any file or folder you do not want to be accessible to others.
The tool is enhanced with two different user modes; in one, a single user or the administrator can solely use the private folder and in the other mode multiple users can lock and manage his own private folders. But only the administrator can change user modes and settings and uninstall the software.

The thing with dictionaries is that it’s not enough to have them you must know how to use them. But the truth is this; there are so many dictionaries that are well stocked with words and their meanings but not easy to use. If you’ve had this problem with dictionaries, you might consider using TheSage.
The Sage’s English Dictionary and Thesaurus is a complete dictionary and a multifaceted thesaurus of the English language. The fact that it runs locally without an Internet connection makes it a must-have.
In case you are still wondering, “How does TheSage differ from any other traditional dictionary?” You might want to check the following features it possesses:
- A Comprehensive Dictionary with over 145,000 references with multiple detailed definitions (over 200,000)
- Tabbed interface, which allows multiple definitions and searches to be readily available
- A Complete Thesaurus with nearly 1,200,000 relationships between definitions (synonyms, antonyms, hypernyms, hyponyms, meronyms, holonyms…)
- A large collection of “Example Sentences” that already includes approximately 35,000 examples of usage
- Quick cross-referencing
- Standard and advanced wildcard search functionality
- Anagram search- only valid English words are returned
- History and session record keeping
- Options that allow customization of the appearance of TheSage
And so much more!
What really makes this particular one, my dictionary of choice is the fact that it can look up words directly from almost any program (IE, Word, Firefox, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc ) and is 100% portable [you can run it, fully functional, from portable devices such as a USB]

[Silly Me! I forgot to mention, it’s totally FREE!]
